Frequently Asked Questions
How do I start tracking time?
Go to the Timer page, select a matter from the dropdown, and click Start. When you're done, click Stop. The time entry is saved automatically, rounded to the nearest 0.1 hour (6 minutes).
How do I create an invoice?
Go to Invoices → New Invoice. Select a matter to pull up all unbilled time entries. Check the entries you want to include, set payment terms, and click Create Invoice.
How do my clients pay invoices?
You can configure your preferred payment methods (Zelle, Venmo, bank transfer, check, etc.) in Settings under Payment Instructions. When you email an invoice, your payment details are included automatically.
What is the Trust Balance Tracker?
The Trust page helps you track client retainer funds. You can record deposits, earned transfers (from trust to operating), withdrawals, and refunds. Each client's balance is tracked separately. Note: this is a tracking tool, not a substitute for professional accounting or compliance auditing.
What payment methods does SoloFlow accept?
SoloFlow subscriptions are processed through Stripe. We accept Visa, Mastercard, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, and Google Pay.
Can I cancel my subscription?
Yes. Go to Settings → Subscription → Manage Subscription. You can cancel anytime. Your account remains active until the end of the current billing period. The 14-day trial is free — no charge if you cancel during the trial.
How do I export my data?
Go to Settings → Export Your Data. You can download each category (Clients, Matters, Time Entries, Invoices, Trust) individually or export all data at once as CSV files. Open them in Excel, Google Sheets, or any spreadsheet app.
Does SoloFlow handle trust accounting compliance?
SoloFlow provides per-client trust balance tracking to help you stay organized, but it is not a compliance or auditing tool. We recommend consulting your state bar's specific trust accounting requirements and working with a qualified accountant for compliance matters.
