Terms of Use

By accessing or using SoloFlow, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the service.

1. What SoloFlow Provides

SoloFlow is a web-based time tracking, invoicing, and trust accounting tool designed for solo and small law firm attorneys. The service includes:

  • Time tracking with billable hour management
  • Client and matter management
  • Invoice generation and online payment collection
  • Trust / IOLTA ledger tracking

SoloFlow is a billing and practice management tool. It does not provide legal advice, accounting advice, tax advice, or compliance certification. You are responsible for ensuring your billing practices comply with your state bar's rules and applicable regulations.

2. Account Responsibilities

You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials and for all activity that occurs under your account. You must provide accurate information during registration and keep your profile up to date.

You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the data you enter, including client information, time entries, billing rates, and trust account records.

3. Subscription and Payments

SoloFlow offers a subscription plan at $29/month with a 14-day free trial.

  • Payment is charged to your payment method at the end of the trial period, unless you cancel before then.
  • Subscriptions auto-renew monthly unless canceled.
  • You may cancel at any time from the Settings page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period.
  • All payments are processed through Stripe.

4. Client Payments

SoloFlow enables you to send invoices with payment links so your clients can pay online. These payments are processed by Stripe on your behalf. You are responsible for:

  • The accuracy of invoices sent to your clients.
  • Any refunds owed to your clients.
  • Compliance with trust accounting rules when handling retainer funds.

5. User Conduct

You agree not to:

  • Use SoloFlow for any unlawful purpose.
  • Interfere with the security, integrity, or availability of the service.
  • Attempt to access other users' data.
  • Scrape, copy, or redistribute SoloFlow's content or software.
  • Use automated tools to access the service in a way that exceeds normal usage.

6. Intellectual Property

SoloFlow, including its design, code, text, graphics, and software, is owned by SoloFlow and protected by intellectual property laws. You may not copy, modify, distribute, reverse engineer, or create derivative works without written permission.

Your data (clients, matters, time entries, invoices, trust transactions) remains yours. We claim no ownership of data you enter into SoloFlow.

7. Disclaimers

SoloFlow is provided on an “as is” and “as available”basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the service's fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or reliability.

SoloFlow is a billing tool. It does not replace professional legal, accounting, or tax advice. You should consult qualified professionals for compliance with your state bar's trust accounting rules, tax obligations, and other regulatory requirements.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, SoloFlow shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to loss of revenue, data, or business opportunities, arising from your use of the service.

Our total liability for any claim related to the service shall not exceed the amount you paid to SoloFlow in the 12 months preceding the claim.

9. Data and Privacy

Our use of your data is governed by our Privacy Policy. By using SoloFlow, you consent to the collection and use of data as described therein.

10. Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account if you violate these terms or engage in conduct that is harmful to other users or the service. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting support@soloflow.work.

11. Changes to These Terms

We may update these terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or an in-app notice. Continued use of SoloFlow after changes are published constitutes acceptance of the updated terms.

12. Governing Law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, United States, without regard to conflict of law principles.
